The small seaside town of Newcastle nestles at the foot of the
Mourne Mountains, on the County Down Coast. Located close to Downpatrick
which is thought to be where St Patrick is buried, there is always
plenty to keep everyone entertained. Newcastle is a mecca for walkers
and climbers, with the Mournes on it’s doorstep.
The location of this Youth Hostel makes it perfect not only for
those on activity breaks, but also for family holidays by the sea.
As well as traditional Youth Hostel accommodation, the Youth Hostel
has a self-contained family annex, which can accommodate 4 people.
Across the road from the Youth Hostel there is also a children’s
adventure playground.
