HINI Youth Hostels are an excellent choice for groups. Our well equipped hostels cater for almost any group size and type, including school groups, sports groups, church groups, youth organisations and parties.

Whether your group wants adventure, culture, history, entertainment or even relaxation and tranquility. We can create tailored itineraries, organise activities and provide group catering or alternatively you can choose to use our self-catering kitchens.

There are two ways to make a group booking:

Hire-a-Hostel:
This option allows you to hire the entire hostel for your exclusive use. Full use of the youth hostel’s facilities, coupled with the freedom to come and go as you please, makes Hire-a-Hostel an excellent choice for any large group. Northern Ireland Youth Hostels are perfect for families who seek affordable accommodation in exciting and unique locations with plenty to see and do. Whether it’s a relaxing break by the seaside or a lively city weekend away, our youth hostels provide a range of facilities for families to make their stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

We offer ensuite family bedrooms, laundry rooms, internet access, fully equipped self catering kitchens and dining areas. Some of our hostels are particularly suited to families, such as Mill Rest in Bushmills, which has a walled garden, ideal for summer barbeques and children’s games. Newcastle Youth Hostel has its very own self-contained family apartment, accommodating up to four people.

Our youth hostels in Whitepark Bay, Armagh and Belfast offer free onsite car parking while The Bridges houses a family friendly cafe, The Mad Hatter, which has a dedicated safe play area for children with games, baby changing facilities and highchairs.

As you may not always be able to bask in the Northern Ireland sunshine, our youth hostels provide books, videos and games, while hostel staff are only to happy to recommend good restaurants with children’s menus and activities perfect for rainy days.

HINI offers membership to families from only £25 and children under 4 stay free!

The prices detailed below are based on families with up to 2 children, with a supplement of £10 for each additional child. Children under 4 stay free. Prices are based on self-catering per room per night.

Newcastle Youth Hostel has a special family rate. It can offer a separate family apartment within the hostel with bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen and lounge with TV.

Summer: June - August
Winter: September - May

Family Annexe in Newcastle will cost £45 per night.
